Hartford Athletic announced that defender Logan Gdula (Norwich, CT) has been acquired on loan from FC Cincinnati. The 22-year old Wake Forest product was the 13th overall pick in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft.
He had two goals and 14 assists during his 77-game career (60 starts), starting all 21 games at right back during his senior season when he scored one goal (in a 3-2 win over No. 6 Virginia) and added five assists.
Gdula helped Wake Forest post 46 shutouts over four seasons as the Deacs finished with a 73-11-7 record, the most wins during that four-year period in Division I.
Growing up in Connecticut, Gdula played for Oakwood Academy in Glastonbury. He is expected to be available for selection on Sunday against Loudoun United FC.
