Jose B. asks, "I was at the Puerto Rico match and had such a great time. Would you define the match as a success for the Club?"
Last weekend was an incredible weekend for the club. Our most important value as a club is to connect to our community. There is such a strong Puerto Rican community in Hartford and they showed it last weekend, starting Friday night when we had open practice and the meet and greet on Pratt Street, and then of course the match on Saturday was incredible. There were so many people celebrating their heritage, wearing the colors of their home country. It was an incredible sight. On top of everything, we were able to raise $4,685 for Hurricane Relief efforts that was donated to the San Juan Center in Hartford.
@CTSoccerMike asks, "What is the last show you binge-watched?"
I very recently bingewatched "Barry" on HBO (big Bill Hader guy over here) and it was hilarious, while also dark and suspenseful. It also wasn't a very time consuming binge as there are only 16 half hour episodes available so far. I give it four and a half our of five soccer balls.
Harry Swartz: The last show I binged was Big Little Lies. I heard about it from Nicky and finished it in a week. Big fan.
Sem de Wit: La Casa de Papel (Money Heist) on Netflix was the last show I watched. I love the storylines, I couldn't turn it off.
@kjwcpm asks, "What is your favorite food in an away city?"
Ryan Williams: When we went to Washington D.C., they had a Nando's. It's a chain restaurant that is very popular in England but there are very few of them in the US – maybe 5 or 6 across the whole country. It was nice to have a taste of home.
Nicky Downs: I'm a big pizza guy – anywhere there's pizza, that's what I'm getting
Harrison P. asks, "How does the club view the importance of data analytics in terms of evaluating opposition, understanding best tactical practices, and player scouting?"
Data analytics is something that we know we have to be at the forefront of in the league. You have to get an advantage over your opponent any way possible. As important as it is to use that data to evaluate our opponents and opposing players, we use that same data on our players to see where our weaknesses are and where we need to improve. It's an area that we are continuing to embrace and develop as we grow as an organization.
