Dieng returns for his second season in the Green & Blue, after a phenomenal 2024 campaign. The fiery forward led the team with 11 goals and 30 shots on target, earning three USL Championship Team of the Week honors (Weeks 24, 25, & 28) as well as the 2024 Hartford Athletic Fans Choice Most Valuable Player.
OUTSIDE THE USL
The young Dieng signed a long-term deal with Hartford after spending years in youth development in Senegal with Sahel Academy. Coach Burke stated, “Mamadou is a big and very energetic forward who is willing to defend from the front, stretch the last line, and compete in the air. He has great potential and we can’t wait to integrate him with our attacking third, which we think will accelerate his development.”
