TAMPA, Fla. – Hartford Athletic continued their resilient stretch last week, resulting in a United Soccer League Championship Team of the Week honor on Tuesday afternoon. Defender Sebastian Anderson was named to the team for the fourth time this season, while fellow defender Jordan Scarlett was named to the bench.
Anderson earned his way onto the league’s Team of the Week following an impressive performance in Athletic’s 2-0 win over Sporting JAX. The 24-year-old notched his team-leading sixth assist and created four chances, while also tacking on four tackles and four interceptions on the defensive end of the pitch.
Anderson has remained a staple for Hartford’s offense from the back end, recording five assists in his last seven USL Championship appearances. On the season, the Sacramento, California, native leads the club with 42 chances created and sits third with 22 interceptions.
Scarlett made his way onto the bench after scoring a goal in Hartford’s 2-0 win over Sporting JAX. The 31-year-old also chipped in defensively with three clearances and two interceptions.
Hartford Athletic hosts Louisville City FC in USL Championship action on Friday, September 25th, at 7:00 p.m.
