TAMPA, Fla. – On the heels of an impressive 3-1 win over the Tampa Bay Rowdies last weekend, two members of Hartford Athletic earned United Soccer League Championship Team of the Week honors. Forward Michee Ngalina and Head Coach Brendan Burke both claimed spots on the league’s Team of the Week, which was announced Tuesday afternoon. Additionally, goalkeeper Antony Siaha and forward Sadat Anaku were named to the bench.
Ngalina earns his first weekly honor of the 2026 campaign after placing himself all over the scoresheet in Hartford’s win over Tampa Bay. The 26-year-old tallied an assist on Anaku’s first-half goal to extend Athletic’s lead to 2-0 before scoring on a penalty kick late in the second half, marking his third straight match with a goal in USL Championship play. Ngalina also recorded three shots on target and two chances created.
Burke was named the league’s head coach of the week for the second time this season after the Boys in Green toppled league-leading Tampa Bay Rowdies 3-1 last time out. To date, Hartford remains unbeaten in eight straight matches across all competitions, earning six wins during that span and climbing to fifth place in the USL Championship Eastern Conference standings.
Siaha makes his way onto the bench after posting eight saves in the win over Tampa Bay. The 28-year-old currently leads the league with 85 stops this season. Anaku earned a spot on the bench as well after recording a goal and an assist against the Rowdies.
Hartford Athletic brings their eight-match unbeaten streak to a home contest against Sporting JAX on Wednesday, September 16th, at 6:00 p.m.
