HARTFORD, Conn. – Announced by the United Soccer League on Thursday afternoon, Hartford Athletic is set to host Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC in the Prinx Tires USL Cup Semifinal round. The match will take place on Tuesday, September 8th, 2026, at Trinity Health Stadium, with kickoff slated for 7:00 p.m.
The Boys in Green will host the USL Cup semifinals for the second straight year as they look to defend their Jägermeister Cup Championship from a season ago. They have drawn Colorado Springs, who went 4-0-0 in the group stage of the tournament before advancing to the semifinals via a penalty shootout victory over Spokane Velocity FC in the quarterfinal round.
Athletic returned to the semifinals after going 3-0-1 in the group stage of the tournament, clinching a spot in the quarterfinals with a 2-1 victory over Westchester SC of USL League One. In their quarterfinal matchup against Charlotte Independence (USL League One) on Wednesday night, Hartford cruised to a 4-2 victory to advance to the next round.
