Hartford Athletic announced today that they will open up the 2023 home schedule on Saturday, March 25th, against Birmingham Legion FC at Trinity Health Stadium. The date marks the earliest home opener the club has ever hosted, and the first time that Hartford Athletic will play an official league competition at home in March.
Tab Ramos will start his first full campaign as Head Coach out west as visitors in respective home openers for Monterey Bay FC in the season’s opening match on March 11th, and Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on March 18th. This will be the club’s first ever matchup with Monterey Bay, who joined the Championship as an expansion club in 2022, and their third matchup with Colorado. Hartford bested Colorado 2-0 at Trinity Health Stadium in June of 2022, the most recent meeting between the clubs.
