(April 4, 2019) — Hartford Athletic announced that Chief Elected Officials representing towns and cities across Connecticut are coming together to help set an attendance record for the first ever home match for Connecticut’s new professional soccer club. Hartford Athletic’s first home match is May 4th at Pratt and Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field against Charlotte Independence.
“We are excited to bring our whole community together for our first ever home match,” said Hartford Athletic COO Donovan Powell. “We cannot wait to make May 4th one of the most memorable days in Connecticut sports history. There has been overwhelming support from our fan base, and we can’t wait to see everyone Rock the Rent on May 4th.”
Thus far officials from Hartford, East Hartford, Barkhamstead, Bethany, Bethel, Bethlehem, Bolton, Brooklyn, Cornwall, Coventry, Cromwell, Durham, Goshen, Granby, Litchfield, Madison, Marlborough, New Milford, North Haven, Plainville, Ridgefield, and Wolcott will be participating.
