OFFENSE ON STANDBY
Hartford has struggled to consistently put the ball in the net all season. Last Saturday’s nil-nil draw at Phoenix Rising FC marked Athletic’s tenth match this season in which they failed to score—the most in the USL Championship. While injuries and the lack of a consistent, chemistry-based lineup play a factor in their shortcomings, scoring has been an issue for the club all season long. Defense has been Hartford’s strong suit throughout 2026; now it’s time for the offense to get on the same page.
SCOUTING REPORT
Loudoun United FC sits near the bottom of the USL Championship’s Eastern Conference standings, holding a 2-5-9 (W-L-D) record and a -10 goal differential. However, in their last match, they earned an impressive 1-0 away victory against Indy Eleven on a goal in the second half. Thorleifur Úlfarsson continues to lead the team offensively, scoring seven goals in 15 appearances.
BEFORE THE HUDDLE
“Loudon United FC is always difficult to play against at their home. They are an experienced group of players coming off a very good result in Indy last weekend,” said General Manager and Head Coach Brendan Burke. “This will be another very difficult game in the midst of a very long road spell for us.”
