USL EXPERIENCE
The 6’2” center forward began his professional career in the USL at the age of 19 with Portland Timbers 2. He spent two and a half years with the club, even making an appearance for the full Portland Timbers squad in the US Open Cup, before transferring to LA Galaxy II in January of 2019. After scoring 20 goals and adding four assists over the span of two seasons, he was promoted to the LA Galaxy senior team. In August of 2021, Williams returned to the USL on loan to San Diego Loyal. Over 12 appearances, he scored six goals and contributed three assists. Just before the 2022 season, Williams signed with Charleston where he would go on to have two phenomenal seasons – leading the team in goals both years. His 15 goals and three assists in 2023 powered the Battery to its first League Final in club history. Williams signed with Indy Eleven for the 2024 season, where he went on to score the first goal in the side’s historic 2-1 win over MLS side Atlanta United in the US Open Cup, marking the first time Indy had beaten an MLS team and the first time the club had advanced to the semifinal of the tournament.
OUTSIDE THE USL
While Williams has spent the majority of his career in the USL, he also had a stint in the MLS, the top-tier of American soccer. The 2021 season saw him spend four months with the LA Galaxy senior team, where he made seven appearances.
At the international level, Williams has represented his native Sierra Leone in Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches and international friendlies. He has seven caps, and was named to the 28-man 2021 Africa Cup of Nations roster, although he did not see action during the tournament.
