
Hartford, Conn. – Midfielder Owen Presthus has been called up to the United States U‑20 Men’s National Team for the upcoming international training camp during the October FIFA window.
The U-20 MNT will train and play international matches in San Pedro del Pinatar, Spain from October 6-15th. The U-20 MNT will play Finland U-21 on October 10th at 9 AM EST and Elche B on October 14th at 10 AM EST. Both matches will be played at Pinatar Arena.
The goal of this training camp is to create more opportunities for young players to progress through the pathway to the senior National Team and ultimately represent the United States at a world championship. As part of the camp, the U-20 Men’s National Team will also spend a day training alongside the senior U.S. National Team.
Presthus, on loan from Columbus Crew, has brought field awareness and the ability to contribute both offensively and defensively to Hartford’s squad. Presthus has also been recognized at the international level with multiple U.S. Youth National Team call-ups. He’s made 51 appearances, scored 3 goals, tallied 9 assists, and had 22 shots on target within the Crew system.
Hartford Athletic will play in its first ever USL Jägermeister Cup Final on Saturday, October 4th and is currently sitting above the USL Championship playoffs line, signaling a new era of competitiveness for the club. Presthus’ call-up is not only a testament to his individual talent and development, but also to Hartford’s growing reputation for nurturing talent and competing at the highest level.
