What a year it was for the Green and Blue! Six club records were broken this season, including the best home record in club history. The Boys in Green went 9-4-4 at Fortress Hartford, feeding off of the incredible atmosphere provided by YOU – the fans. Now, it’s time for you tell us who was the best of the best this year. From dazzling highlight-reel goals to acrobatic saves on the pitch, to wacky promotions and delicious food off the pitch, your vote will decide the winners of everything Hartford Athletic in the 2024 Fans Choice Awards.

Goal of the Year
Deshane Beckford – Speed Kills (vs. Miami, April 6th): Bursting through the attacking third, Deshane Beckford chases down a ball from Anderson Asiedu and scampers past Daniel Gagliardi to finish on the open net.
Michee Ngalina – Cheeky Chip and Backflip! (vs. Charleston, July 12th): So clinical in the attacking third, Michee lifted this shot up and over Adam Grinwis for a magnificent goal. Anderson Asiedu started this one, threading a tight through ball for the Congolese winger. Of course, Ngalina broke out his signature backflips in celebration.
Deshane Beckford – Becky Boots It In (vs. Detroit City, July 31st): Becky’s back for more! On the receiving end of a masterful feed from Danny Barrera, Beckford played this ball out of the air and deposited his shot perfectly to the bottom right corner.
Mamadou Dieng – Manu –> Michee –> Momo ✅ (at Detroit City, August 31st): Momo finished off a flawless sequence to earn himself this goal of the year nomination. A long ball from Emmanuel Samadia, played off the chest of Michee Ngalina, and fired across the box to the Senegalese striker for the goal — a work of art from the Green and Blue
Kyle Edwards – Bike In The Box 🚲 (at Orange County, October 26th): Playing the ball off of a volley in the box, Kyle Edwards pulled off an acrobatic bicycle kick to float this ball into the net.
Game of the Year
It was a party at Trinity Health Stadium this year, with some thrilling battles from our Boys in Green. Which match was your favorite?
Save of the Year
Renan Ribeiro was magnificent in goal for the Green and Blue this year. The 34 year old ended his first campaign in the USL Championship atop the league in saves with 102, coming just seven stops short of breaking the Hartford Athletic club record. You can’t go wrong with this collection of heroic denials, but you can only vote for one!
Offensive Player of the Year
Mamadou Dieng and Michee Ngalina led Hartford’s attacking efforts in 2024, combining for 19 goals! Dieng’s team-leading 11 set a new single season club record, an incredible feat for the 20-year-old Senegalese striker. Michee tallied eight goals, and added a team-best five assists (tied with Danny Barrera). They did not do it alone, however, with contributions coming from up and down the roster. Who is your Offensive Player of the Year?
Defensive Player of the Year
Led by captain Jordan Scarlett, our defensive unit was a part of the longest clean sheet streak in club history this year. Who locked down our side of the pitch the most in 2024?
