LAST SEASON:
Edwards puts his Green and Blue kit back on for the 2024 season after the best campaign of his professional career in 2023, second on the team in USL Championship goals (seven) and adding three assists. The 28-year-old appeared in 26 matches, 10 of which were starts.
USL EXPERIENCE:
Edwards spent the 2020 and 2021 seasons with Rio Grande Valley FC, where he recorded six goals and three assists in 23 appearances with the club. In Week 28 of the 2021 regular season, Edwards earned Team of the Week honors after recording a pair of goals in the Toros’ 4-1 victory against El Paso Locomotive FC that clinched the club’s first postseason berth since its inaugural season in 2016. Prior to joining RGV FC, Edwards played for USL League Two’s Brazos Valley Cavalry, where he jointly won the 2019 Golden Boot award with 15 goals.
OUTSIDE THE USL:
Edwards was drafted as the 86th overall pick by the Dynamo in the 2020 MLS SuperDraft. A graduate of the University of Texas – Rio Grande Valley, Edwards finished his collegiate career ranked second in school history in career goals with 21 and career points with 49. Edwards also brings international experience to the club with 15 senior caps for the Saint Vincent and Grenadines National Team.
