UPDATE: The Community Giveback campaign will extend through the month of May.
Hartford Athletic announced today that it is joining clubs across the USL to support local COVID-19 relief efforts by donating a percentage of April merchandise sales to United Way and its Neighbors in Need fund.
“Community is at the core of our organization, and it is our responsibility to help wherever we can during this global health crisis,” said Hartford Athletic CEO Jim Burda. “Hartford Athletic is proud to partner with United Way and to activate our amazing fan base to help those in need.”
“We’re grateful to Hartford Athletic for this unique partnership,” said Paula S. Gilberto, President and CEO, United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut. “Fans can show their team spirit and ensure that food, emergency assistance and childcare services will be available to local individuals and families affected by COVID-19. You can gear up for the 2020 season knowing that your support of Hartford Athletic also furthers United Way’s COVID-19 relief efforts."
