MAILBAG: The One Before Dillon Stadium Opens

By Hartford Athletic, 07/11/19, 7:00PM EDT

Welcome back to the mailbag! If you want to submit a question for future mailbags, click here. Let's answer some of your questions:

@gariphic asks, "Would you consider selling gray warm up tops to general public?"

Absolutely! We've heard a lot of fans really love the gray warm-ups. We will be rolling out new merchandise throughout the remainder of the 2019 season, as well as in the lead-up to 2020. Check out for all the latest gear.

Sam G. asks, "What are some of the players' favorite childhood soccer memories?"

Kyle Curinga: One memory that stands out the most was meeting Jimmy Conrad. I went with my mom to a meet and greet to take pictures and get an autograph. Such a genuine person. He made me feel like he was personally there to see me. I'll never forget it. I try to respond to the kids I meet today exactly how he did to me.

Also Kyle Curinga: Orange Slices

Jacob Lissek: My favorite memory was winning a tournament with my first competitive coach, Coach Mike. In that game I got hit in the face twice making saves and I got Man of the Match.

Mads Jorgensen: My family was always very supportive of me and they came to so many of my matches. Having them there meant so much to me and it's the best memory I could ask for.

Phil Rasmussen: There's many good memories from back then, playing in the school year each day, winning the U14 Danish Championship and Cup final. Also playing against Ajax, Schalke, and Bayer Leverkusen at a young age.

@neilmontovani asks, "Ketchup, mustard, sauerkraut, onions or chili on a hot dog?"

You really can't go wrong with any of these options, but the author of this post strongly endorses chili. It tastes incredible, and when you combine it with a hot dog, it's game over. Major power move...

***The beautiful part about the Hartford Athletic website is that a few people have access to it. This particular editor (who shall remain nameless) is a big fan of the mustard-relish combo on a Hot Dog. Come at me.

@CTSoccerMike asks, "What is the funniest thing that has happened in the office recently?"

One of our staff members (who is the same staff member who likes the mustard-relish combo on a Hot Dog) has mastered the timing of the "Screaming Mouse" video. Occasionally, he will have a fellow front office employee blare the video at full volume, and he will mimic the mouse by opening his mouth whenever it screams. It's high quality comedy.
